Terms of Service

Effective: August 21, 2026

These terms govern your use of Platia, a workspace for community teams to manage members, events, and outreach, provided at app.platia-ai.com (“the service”) by Platia, Inc., a Delaware corporation with its principal place of business in San Francisco, California. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. Please read the “Dispute resolution” section carefully: it requires individual arbitration of most disputes and waives jury trials and class actions, and it includes a 30-day opt-out.

Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account, and you should notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization. You must be old enough to consent to these terms in your jurisdiction and authorized to act for any organization whose workspace you manage.

Using the service

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your organization’s own community work, subject to these terms. The service and everything that makes it up (the software, design, and branding, but not your content) belong to Platia; these terms do not transfer any of that to you. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the service, access it to build a competing product, or scrape it beyond ordinary use of its features.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely to improve the service, without obligation or attribution; please do not send feedback you consider confidential.

Your content

Content you or your teammates add to a workspace (member records, events, drafts, notes, and similar) belongs to you or your organization. You grant us the rights needed to host, process, and display that content in order to operate the service. You are responsible for having the necessary rights and consents for the personal data you store about your community members.

Acceptable use

  • No unlawful use, including violating privacy, spam, or intellectual property laws.
  • No attempts to breach, probe, or disrupt the service or other tenants’ data.
  • No reselling or providing the service to third parties without our agreement.
  • When publishing to connected platforms (such as X or LinkedIn) through Platia, you must also comply with those platforms’ own terms.

Connected services and AI features

Connecting an external service (X, LinkedIn, Google Calendar, Gmail, or Klaviyo) is optional and subject to that service’s own terms and privacy practices, which we do not control and are not responsible for. Platia includes AI-assisted features such as drafts and an assistant; their output can be inaccurate, and you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it or publishing it. How connected data and AI providers handle your information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

The service is under active development. Features may change, be added, or be removed, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using the service and request deletion of your account at any time. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) survive termination.

Indemnification

If a third party brings a claim against us arising out of your content, your use of the service in violation of these terms, or your violation of applicable law, you agree to indemnify us against the reasonable costs and damages of that claim. We will notify you of any such claim promptly and cooperate with you in its defense.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the same extent, our total liability for claims arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

General

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Platia about the service. If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction. By using the service you consent to receiving notices from us electronically, by email or in the product, and those notices satisfy any requirement for written notice.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we will give notice in the product or by email before the new terms take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

Dispute resolution

Before either of us starts formal proceedings, we agree to try to resolve any dispute informally: the party raising it sends the other a written notice describing the dispute, and both parties talk in good faith within 45 days. If that does not resolve it, then except for the carve-outs below, you and Platia agree to resolve all disputes arising out of these terms or the service through binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its rules, rather than in court. The arbitration is conducted in English, in the county where you live or another mutually agreed location, and each party bears its own attorneys’ fees unless the arbitrator finds a claim frivolous. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court, or ask a court for injunctive or other equitable relief to protect its intellectual property.

BY AGREEING TO ARBITRATION, YOU AND PLATIA EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL, AND ALL DISPUTES MUST BE BROUGHT INDIVIDUALLY, NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these terms by emailing support@platia-ai.com with your name, account email, and a clear statement that you opt out. Opting out does not affect any other part of these terms. If part of this section is found unenforceable, the rest of it still applies.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. For disputes not subject to arbitration, you and Platia consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
