Privacy Policy
Effective: August 23, 2026
Platia (“we”, “us”) provides a workspace for community teams to manage members, events, and outreach. This policy describes what we collect when you use Platia at app.platia-ai.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash) when you create an account.
- Workspace content. Data you and your teammates add to a workspace: community member records, events, drafts, notes, and messages you exchange with the built-in assistant.
- Connected accounts. When you connect an external service (X, LinkedIn, Google Calendar, Gmail, or Klaviyo), we store the OAuth access and refresh tokens the service issues, encrypted at rest, together with the connected account identifier and display label. For Klaviyo specifically, we also sync your email campaigns (subject, preview text, sender, audience, and performance stats) and, for each campaign, per-recipient engagement data: which of your subscribers received, opened, clicked, bounced, or unsubscribed from it, including that subscriber’s email address and name.
- Usage and log data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) kept for security and debugging.
Google user data
Google Calendar and Gmail connections are personal. Only the user who connects an account can view or manage its connection and synced data in Platia; other workspace members and workspace administrators cannot access it.
Google Calendar requests read-only calendar access and your basic profile (email address). We store a private mirror of recent and upcoming appointments. Personal appointments are not automatically copied into workspace events, attendance records, sales metrics, or shared AI content. Platia does not automatically create, edit, or delete Google Calendar events.
Gmail requests read-only access. We store recent inbox messages, including sender, subject, preview, and a limited plain-text body, through your personal Gmail connection. Platia does not send email on your behalf. Neither private inbox messages nor personal appointments are used by workspace AI features.
Disconnecting deletes your stored connection credentials and its synced mail or appointments from active application storage. It does not delete anything from Google. You can also revoke Platia access in your Google account settings.
Platia’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and secure the service.
- To power product features you invoke — for example publishing a draft to a social account you connected, or generating suggestions with AI features.
- To respond to support requests.
AI features send the relevant workspace content to our model gateway, OpenRouter, which routes it to an Anthropic Claude model. Requests are restricted to providers that neither retain the content nor use it for training, and no workspace content — Google user data included — is used to train any model. See Google user data above for how this applies to data received from Google APIs.
Cookies
Platia uses only the cookies it needs to operate: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and short-lived cookies that secure flows such as connecting an external account. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers that host and operate Platia on our behalf (hosting, database, email delivery, and AI model providers), each bound by their own data-processing terms; with professional advisors such as lawyers and accountants where necessary; with authorities when required by law; and, if Platia is involved in a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction, with the parties to that transaction, in which case this policy continues to apply to your data.
Retention and deletion
Workspace data is retained while your workspace is active. Disconnecting an external service deletes its stored tokens and, for Gmail and Google Calendar, the private data synced from them, and for Klaviyo, all campaign and recipient-engagement data synced from it. To delete your account or workspace and its data, contact us at the address below and we will complete the deletion within 30 days.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is limited to the small set of people who operate the service.
Where data is processed
Platia, Inc. is a United States company based in San Francisco, California. The service is hosted on infrastructure in Japan, and our service providers, including our AI model providers, may process data in the United States and other countries. Wherever your data is processed, the protections described in this policy apply.
Children
Platia is a workspace for community teams and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can update your account and workspace data in the app, and disconnect any connected service at any time in Settings. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing the address below; depending on where you live, local law may give you additional rights, and we honor requests as those laws require.
Changes and contact
We will update this page when this policy changes and revise the effective date above. Questions or requests: privacy@platia-ai.com.
